Asbestos Supervisor Initial
Accredited by UKATA, this course provides the necessary knowledge and skills for the supervision of asbestos removal project supervision. This course also provides an update on current legislation and working practises.
Asbestos Supervisor Refresher
Accredited by UKATA, this course is a refresher from asbestos supervisor inital training. The course refreshes the supervisor's knowledge and understanding of asbestos removal project supervision. The course also updates supervisor's to any change in legislation and working practises.
B+E Trailer Towing Category Training
This training is required for any person required to tow trailers who has not got B+E entitlement on their licence. This affects all drivers who passed their test since January 1997 and includes those who may have needed to retake their test since that date. The only exemptions are trailers below 750kg MAM (unbraked). So if you need to tow a mini digger, caravan, boat, horsebox or car transporter you need B+E on your licence.
Banksmen / Yard Ops
Recommended for nominated people on a large premises or site with transport movement issues e.g. shared access / on busy road / high vehicle volume. Includes training in guiding vehicles, hand signals and safety.
Cartridge Operated Fixing Tools
This course is based on the Hilti DX450 and equivalent machines and is designed to give delegates a knowledge of inspection, maintenance, fixing methods, choice of nail or fixing and choice of cartridge.
Confined Space Awareness
This course provides delegates with the basic skills and knowledge to manage and supervise work at confined spaces and to make them aware of the risks and the current legal obligations involved in such workplaces.
Forklift truck operation
To enable operators in locations equipped with forklifts or other forms of Mechanical Handling equipment to operate those machines following training to a suitable national standard. Course takes between 1 and 5 days to complete depending on prior experience. Training is delivered and certified to ITSSAR national standard.
Non - licenced asbestos ( Cement and textured coatings)
Accredited by UKATA, this course will allow candidates to undertake non licensed asbestos works in accordance with the Control of Asbestos regulations 2006 and all associated Codes of practice.
Ideal candidates for this training would include those whose work will knowingly disturb asbestos containing materials during the course of their work activities, including building maintenance workers and supervisory personnel, and building maintenance managers.
Non licenced asbestos refresher
Accredited by UKATA, this course refreshes the knowlege and understanding of non licenced asbestos removal procedures. Any change in legislation and working practises.
P402:Building Surveys & Sampling for Asbestos
This module provides background and practical knowledge in the survey of buildings for asbestos and to provide gerneral guidance on management procedures necessary to minimise exposure to any identified asbestos. To gain this certificate candidates will need to provide evidence of field proficiency, normally the submission of reports which include reports which include type 2 or type 3 sampling, submitted within six months of the exam.
P403: Asbestos Fibre Counting (PCM)
This module provides theoretical and practical knowledge in the techniques of fibre counting of asbestos air samples using phase contrast microscopy (PCM). The module is a proficiency level which must aim to provide the student with the practical knowledge and skills to be able to carry out the stated work. In conjunction with the proficiency module P404. Air sampling and clearance testing for asbestos, this will then cover the requirements of the stage 4 clearance procedure.
P404: Air Sampling and Clearance Testing of Asbestos
This module provides theoretical and practical knowledge in the techniques of air sampling and clearance testing of Asbestos. This module is at a proficiency level which must aim to provide the student with the practical knowledge and skills to be able to carry out the stated work. The analysis of membrane filter samples by phase contrast microscopy is covered by module P403. In conjunction with P403 Asbestos Fibre Counting (PCM). This will cover the requirements of stage 4 Clearance procedure.
P405: Management of Asbestos
This module is a proficiency level which must aim to provide the stident with the practical knowledge and skills to manage asbestos in buildings and give a knowledge base to audit asbestos removal projects.
P406: Supervision and management of the safe removal and disposal of asbestos
This course aims to provide the training needs for supervisory licence holder's as specified in HSG247. The module is at proficiency level which provides the student with the practical knowledge and skills to be able to act as a supervisory licence holder.
Risk Assessment and Method Statement Essentials
This course is intended for employees of all levels who are expected to complete Risk Assessment and Method Statements and fully engage with Safe Systems of Work. Training is based around your current processes and policy or using our own templates which are supplied as part of the course.
S301 Asbestos and other fibres
A proficiency level module which will give students the practical knowledge and skill to manage asbestos in buildings and give the knowledge base required to audit asbestos removal projects. The candidate will have a clear understanding of the legislation, be able to identify and record asbestos removal projects. The candidate will have clear understanding of the legislation , be able to identify and record asbestos in buildings and be aware of the methods for preventing further damage to the ACM's. They will also be throughly familiar with good working practises for asbestos removal and with the role of the analyst, air monitoring techniques and four stage clearance. The candidate will also have a good understanding of the presures and demands on the various parties involved in a removal project.
