This course is intended for operators who mount abrasive wheels on angle grinders (with cutting or grinding wheels), cut-off saws and bench top cut-off saws. It will give delegates an understanding and appreciation of abrasive wheel safety and sound mounting techniques.

Cartridge Operated Fixing Tools
This course is based on the Hilti DX450 and equivalent machines and is designed to give delegates a knowledge of inspection, maintenance, fixing methods, choice of nail or fixing and choice of cartridge.
Confined Space Awareness
This course provides delegates with the basic skills and knowledge to manage and supervise work at confined spaces and to make them aware of the risks and the current legal obligations involved in such workplaces.
CSCS Test Revision Training
This course provides supported revision for candidates who are required to pass the CSCS Touch Screen test.
Electrofusion Pipe Welding
This course is for operatives who are required to use Electrofusion equipment to complete pipe jointing. Course is workshop based and includes pre-use checks, specification, set up, use and safe handling and storage.
Fire Marshalls
This course ensures that nominated people can effectively carry out their duties as a fire marshall. A Fire Marshall is recommended for all work locations and some locations will require several Marshalls to ensure safety of the workforce in the event of a fire or other serious incident.
Fire Safety Awareness
This course is for all workers to raise awareness of dangers of fire in the workplace and by doing so reducing the risk of fire incidents.
Gas Detection Equipment Procedures
This course is for people who are required to use Gas Detection Equipment as part of their role including specification, maintenance and operation. This course is linked to Confined Space Awarness (CT011) training.

Hand Arm Vibration (White Finger) Training
Hand arm vibration is transmitted from work processes into workers’ hands and arms. It is most commonly caused by operating hand held power tools. Regular and frequent exposure to hand arm vibration can lead to permanent health effects collectively known as hand arm vibration syndrome and other specific diseases. This course introduces the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2006 and ensures that employers are fully aware of their responsibilities under this legislation.

This course is intended for staff who use ladders and steps in the workplace. It demonstrates the duties of the employee as well as the employer under the Work at Height Regulations 2005. Manual Handling - Operations
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require that employers are responsible for ensuring that all staff who lift or move loads are trained and this course will help employers comply with this legislation. It will teach delegates how to identify risks, develop and understanding of what is being moved and be able to determine the safest method of handling to avoid injury. The course includes assessing risk, loading techniques, tail-lift use and load restraint.

PASMA Mobile Access Tower
This course is aimed at users of mobile access towers (both alloy and fibreglass) and instructs delegates on how to safely erect, move, inspect and dismantle mobile access towers. The course is recognised by the HSE. The official PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association) certification satisfies the ‘Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998’ (PUWER) and the ‘Work at Height Regulations 2005.’
Pipe Equipment Module 1 - Pressing Equipment
Pressing equipment - This courses is for staff from satellite pipe branches who maintain and prepare pressing equipment for hire. The course consists of product knowledge regarding safe use and capabilities, essential and routine checks to return to hire, function and load testing and calibration and record keeping. The course will also cover common problems and the machines different applications.
Pipe Equipment Module 2 - Threading Equipment
This courses is for staff from satellite pipe branches who maintain and prepare pipe threading equipment for hire. This includes electric pipe threaders, electric and manual hand held threaders aswell as accessories such as stands and chain vices. The course consists of product knowledge regarding uses and capabilities including threading, cutting, reaming and roll grooving. The course will also cover essential and routine checks to return to hire, saleable consumables and common problems.
Pipe Equipment Module 3 - Cutting Equipment
This courses is for staff from satellite pipe depots who maintain and prepare pipe cutting equipment for hire. This includes pipe reciprocating saws and RA cutters. The course consists of product knowledge regarding uses and capabilities. The course will also cover essential and routine checks to return to hire, saleable consumables and common problems.
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) & RCD Testing
Suitable for the Tool Hire Industry, Power Tool Repairers and Domestic Appliance Engineers. Once delegates have completed the course they are legally authorised to carry out PAT testing indefinitely. We do however recommend a refresher course every 3 years.
